Some basic rules: 1. DRINK IT YOUR WAY What matters most is enjoyment. When diving deep into a whiskey’s flavor, mixers aren’t recommended but save the preaching. Want to add a splash of water or ice to that dram? Go ahead. 2. EDUCATE & BE EDUCATED Whiskey continues to evolve, building on an endless traditions, history and modern innovations. Keep an open mind. Incorrect information and misunderstood concepts should be met with understanding, not judgement. 3. IT’S NOT A COMPETITION Whiskey should bring people together. Having a huge whiskey collection and abundant knowledge is wonderful, but these assets should be used to inspire, not to dissuade others. 4. SPREAD THE LOVE
